3 Easy Steps to Conscious Style
I hope you are all having a great week! It's all over twitter and facebook that many of us, whether in school or not have new beginnings and new chapters that are about to begin after labour day. There's a sense of getting back to business. Many of us mark new beginnings by updating our style, so I thought it would be fun to give a few tips on how to do so consciously. I am sure there are many other tips, but here are a few quick ones.
1) Buy local - Try checking out a local boutique in your town. Smaller, independant shops will most likely have more knowledgeable staff and be willing to help assist you in making purchases that are ethical. While you're there make sure to mention Freedom Culture to them. It doesn't hurt to start letting the retailers know who your favourite new brand is ......wink, wink.
2) Have a plan - Just like grocery shopping on an empty stomach, without a list is a big "no-no" for purchasing things you didn't really want, so is shopping for your style pieces. Be prepared. Use sites like www.shopstyle.com, where you can type in the item you are looking for with the price range, size, and colour and it will show you all the brands that have it available. No more going from store to store searching for something. Now, you'll know exactly where it is, how much it costs, and you'll have a chance to take a look at their standards, before you're in the store and tempted to buy.
3) Shop Freedom Culture! Freedom Culture promises that we will always be stylish and conscious about how we manufacture and bring our products to market. Keep checking back and make sure that we are a staple in your wardrobe. It's the easiest way to look good and do good all at the same time.
